For the 250,000 young Australians living with severe allergies, a new website www.250k.org.au has been launched.
This government-funded resource was designed by young people for young people and includes information on topics such as using your EpiPen, eating out with a food allergy, and dating and travelling with an allergy.
Cancer levels across Australia have been mapped against measures such as geographical region and socioeconomic status for the first time by The Public Health Information Development Unit at Torrens University Australia. Findings include that the highest incidence of the major cancers occurs in Queensland, and that female breast cancer incidence is 20% lower in very remote areas.
