Abstract
Molluscum contagiosum is a common and easily spread viral infection of the skin. Although a self-limiting condition, there are many treatment options available.

    Case presentation

A 4-year-old girl presented with a five-month history of largely asymptomatic prominent, smooth, red umbilicated papules on her trunk and limbs (Figures 1 and 2). She had started swimming lessons nine months ago.
