The article ‘Adult depression: a step-by-step guide to treatment’ by Dr Josephine Anderson, Dr Veronica Galvez, Professor Colleen Loo and Professor Philip Mitchell published in the November 2015 issue of Medicine Today (pages 16 to 24) contained an error. In Box 1, under ‘Criteria for diagnosis’, the bullet point and first dash point should have read:
• Pervasive depressed mood or loss of interest/pleasure in usual activities together with four or more of the following symptoms, present nearly every day:
    – significant weight loss or gain or decrease in appetite

The article ‘Investigating primary and secondary amenorrhoea’ by Dr Michelle Wellman published in the November 2015 issue of Medicine Today (pages 27 to 32) contained an error. In the flowchart, ‘An approach to investigating amenorrhoea’, the entries ‘Low TSH’, ‘Hypothyroidism’ and ‘Treat hypothyroidism’ should have read:
‘Abnormal TSH’, ‘Thyroid dysfunction’ and ‘Treat thyroid dysfunction’.
