Feedback is being sought on the draft Australian Clinical Practice Guideline for the Diagnosis and Management of Endometriosis. Developed by a multidisciplinary Australian expert working group and administered by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the guideline provides evidence-based recommendations to support the diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis and adenomyosis. Feedback can be provided by completing an online survey or by written submission; public consultation closes on 24 December 2020. A new clinical pathway tool to help health professionals deliver care to reduce the number of diabetes related amputations has been developed by Diabetes Australia and the Australian Diabetes Society. Developed as part of the National Diabetes Services Scheme funded Foot Forward diabetes complications prevention program, the Integrated Diabetes Foot Care Pathway is a new tool providing nationally consistent guidance for health professionals to encourage early identification and treatment of foot problems for people with diabetes. According to Foot Forward, each year in Australia more than 4400 people have diabetes-related amputations, 85% of which could be prevented if detected and managed early.
