Correction

The article ‘Estradiol and micronised progesterone: a new oral menopausal hormone therapy’ by Dr Terri Foran, which was published in the April 2023 issue of Medicine Today (pages 45 to 48), contains an error. In the abstract on page 45, the indication for this oral preparation was stated as to reduce moderate to severe postmenopausal symptoms in women with an intact uterus whose last menses were at least 12 months ago. This is incorrect, and the indication should be for use during continuous combined hormone replacement therapy for oestrogen deficiency symptoms in postmenopausal women with an intact uterus and with at least 12 months since last menses.

We apologise for this error and any confusion it may have caused. The online version and full-text PDF of this article are correct at https://medicinetoday.com.au/mt/2023/april/regular-series/estradiol-and-micronised-progesterone-new-oral-menopausal-hormone-therapy
