New pneumococcal vaccine on the NIP

A new 21-valent conjugate pneumococcal vaccine  (21vPCV; Capvaxive) has been added to the National Immunisation Program (NIP), and eligibility for the pneumo­coccal vaccine has been expanded to include adults aged 65 to 69 years, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples aged 25 to 59 years and adults aged 18 years and over with specified medical risk conditions.
