Opioid dependence treatment changes: factsheets

The PBS has updated its factsheets for prescribers, pharmacists and patients on opioid dependence treatment program (ODT) medicines in light of the 1 July 2023 changes in which these medicines are listed on the Schedule. ODT medicines have now become part of the Section 100 Highly Specialised Drugs (HSD) Program (Community Access) arrangements. ODT medicines currently listed on the Schedule include methadone oral liquid, buprenorphine sublingual tablets, buprenorphine plus naloxone sublingual films and long-acting injectable buprenorphine products.
