New CKD resource
The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care has released a new concise resource, GP Snapshot: Chronic Kidney Disease – Detection and Diagnosis. The resource provides key findings and practical insights developed from aggregated data from all participating Medicine-Insight practices to support GPs in the early detection and diagnosis of chronic kidney disease (CKD). It covers risk factors for identifying patients at high risk of developing CKD, insights on patients at high risk of developing CKD who have undergone a complete or incomplete Kidney Health Check and clinical practice considerations, including important screening steps and the value of early detection and diagnosis. Access the Snapshot via the Commission’s website (https://www.safetyandquality.gov.au).
