Travel vaccination update

The range of vaccines available for Australian travellers is rapidly expanding and will continue to do so. It is therefore even more important for general practitioners to keep fully up to date with recent changes in vaccine indications, precautions, contraindications, interactions and management of adverse reactions. When the practitioner is unsure of the appropriate advice to give, I strongly recommend that for all areas of risk, the patient should be referred to a travel or vaccination clinic.
